YOUR DATA
Privacy notice.
Pre-launch policy draft. Final policy review is required before paid launch.
This notice explains the information used to provide InstVIdeo, who processes it and how long your photos and videos stay available.
Information we collect
- Account information: your sign-in email, account identifier, sign-in challenge and session records, and delivery notification status.
- Generation information: the photo you submit, selected template and version, generation status, provider task identifiers, error records, generation attempts, recorded cost estimates and verified costs with their evidence, review decisions and notes, private candidate outputs and the released delivery video.
- Purchase information: pack, price, credit amount, payment identifiers, confirmation and refund status, and the credit ledger. Card details are entered in Stripe Checkout; the application does not store your full card number.
- Optional feedback: the video suggestion or link you choose to send after generation.
- Service activity: page and interaction events associated with a session, including campaign/source labels, referring site, page path and time. Hosting and service providers also process technical connection information needed to serve requests.
Why we use it
We use this information to sign you in, process payments, keep credit and task records consistent, generate your video, let authorized operators review the full candidate and queue a remake after their rejection when attempts remain, deliver the reviewed result (including a clearly labeled best-available version after three attempts), respond to support requests, prevent duplicate charges and investigate failures. Optional feedback and service activity help us understand which templates and parts of the service people use.
Your selected photo is previewed in your browser before generation. When you confirm the photo permission and submit generation, it is uploaded for processing. We do not automatically publish a customer's input photo or generated video in the public showcase.
Services involved in processing
- Render: hosts the application and its database and processing files.
- Cloudflare R2: holds private generation inputs and reference media that are shared using temporary links.
- GeminiAPI.ai and its Seedance generation service: receive the inputs needed to process the requested AI video, including your photo, reference video and prepared generation instructions. Their systems return task status and video output.
- Stripe: processes checkout, payment and refund information.
- Resend: delivers sign-in codes and video-ready notifications to your verified email address. Completion notifications link to My videos; they do not include uploaded photos or private video download links.
These services process information under their own service arrangements. They may operate in different countries. We do not promise that their retention, model-training or deletion practices are identical to our active-storage rules. Provider practices and international processing arrangements must be reviewed as part of paid-launch readiness.
Cookies and browser storage
Session cookies keep account and guest activity associated with the right user. Login sessions can last up to 30 days; signing out ends the current account session. The site also uses browser session storage to remember the selected template across checkout. We restore this selection only when it is less than 24 hours old; the stored draft is cleared when an expired selection is next checked or the account changes. That checkout draft contains a template identifier and time, not the photo. Choosing to clear browser storage can remove a guest session or the selected-template draft; email sign-in restores the same account's available records.
Retention and deletion
- Photos: deleted from active storage within 24 hours after the last delivery order using them is released or finally closed. Unused uploads are deleted within 24 hours. Inputs needed for processing, unconfirmed upstream tasks, quality review or remakes are retained until the delivery order is resolved.
- Released delivery videos (quality-approved or best available): available for 30 days after review and delivery completion, then access expires and active-storage cleanup runs. Download your copy before expiry.
- Undelivered candidates: accessible only to authorized administrators for review and troubleshooting, not customer playback or download. They are retained for at most 30 days from candidate production; an internal retry does not reset an older candidate’s expiry.
- Other records: accounts, orders, credit ledgers, task reconciliation, attempt counts, review decisions and operational records are handled separately from media. The media deletion schedule does not delete these records.
- Backups and providers: a database backup can contain account and transaction metadata and file paths; the database-only backup tool does not copy original photo or video bytes. Encrypted database backups target a 24-hour schedule with a seven-day retention policy. App downtime or failed cleanup can delay these operations; they do not guarantee recovery at every point in time. Media recovery archives separately contain reference videos, QA samples and completed customer videos; original customer photos are excluded. Archived customer videos retain the same expiry of 30 days after review and delivery completion, and restoration cannot extend it. Any archived undelivered candidate keeps its original expiry of at most 30 days from candidate production, stays restricted to administrators and is not made public by restoration. Archive cleanup runs while the service is available; cleanup failures require operational action. Provider-held copies remain subject to their own retention rules.
Reference templates and operator-created demonstration assets are separate from customer uploads. The customer-photo schedule does not mean those template assets disappear after 24 hours. These rules apply to new reviewed delivery orders; existing task and retention records are not retroactively rewritten.
Access, correction and privacy requests
Contact support to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with your account. Requests are reviewed manually; we may need to verify that the request concerns your account and explain which records are needed to resolve payments, tasks or other applicable obligations. This is not an automatic account-deletion feature. Do not include extra photos, identity documents or payment-card details in an initial request.
Security and your choices
Private input files are accessed through restricted storage and temporary links. Account access uses emailed sign-in codes. No online service can promise perfect security. Keep codes and private download links to yourself, and contact support if you believe someone accessed your account. You can skip the feedback survey and decide whether to submit a photo; generation requires sending that photo to the video services described above.
